Warmer Winters for Neighbors in Need
The Salvation Army Bremerton In Partnership with Puget Sound Energy
The holiday season is a time of giving and The Salvation Army and Puget Sound Energy are proud to partner with one another. Puget Sound Energy donated $200,000 that will warm hearts and also help community groups host regional holiday celebrations to spread holiday cheer and ensure all can experience the spirit of the season. The Salvation Army used its portion of the donation to purchase a large truck to transport food.
The Salvation Army is one of seven community partners in Kitsap County that will receive over $27,000 to help feed home-bound seniors, homeless youth, and individuals with physical or mental disabilities. Funding will also provide warm clothing like coats, hats, and boots and necessities like diapers and formula for groups that support children in foster care and families dealing with domestic violence.
The Salvation Army is grateful to Puget Sound Energy for their generosity and for helping The Salvation Army meet the need this winter.
